Trainee Feedback & Website Showcase

As they saying goes, "The proof is in the pudding". If I was in your shoes, I would want to see the product of the training. After all, there is GOOD training and there is BAD training. So, does Learn Joomla! square up at the end of the workshop?

Here are some of our trainees comments, with links to the websites that they manage, with our help in some casea, others just took to Joomla! like the code was in them all along, just waiting to escape....

Hey Sean.  All seems fine.  Anyway, I did nonetheless go on to play using JSAS.  Thank you so much for your time. I really enjoyed the training session and learnt A LOT. Has made my PC  addiction even worse (check the time I am sending this email to you – busy exploring!). Looking forward to the follow-on courses. Chat soon.

Hi Sean. You really impressed us with your patience you showed with these two "clods".  We really, really, appreciate all your efforts. I will send you something longer in the next day or so but for now, it's sleeping time! best wishes

Thanks. It helped me to get a better understanding about the structure and possibilities of Joomla.

An overview with a lot of information; not a "how to" course as much as a good starting point to tackle the learning curve.

Things are going well with Joomla! and I did a little presentation to the office yesterday and everyone was suitably impressed!

Hi Sean, First session was fantastic, and Rodin is a terrific trainer! I really enjoyed the first course, and it filled many gaps for me. We actually covered quite a lot of work, and the problem is I don't want to forget the things we've covered, so I need to work through the things I learnt. But it went very well, and I'm really keen for the 2nd course.

Dano Fotiadis | Johannesburg, South Africa

Hi Sean, The training was good, quite a lot to take in on one-on-one training as there is a lot of stuff you can do and need to know. It would’ve been nice to get a manual (hard copy) with the training.  you don’t get much time to make notes and stuff…and I tend to forget, so now I have to go to websites to sort out what I’m struggling with.

Rodin showed me so much websites of where I can find stuff, so yes at a stage it was quite confusing, but hopefully I’ll get there.  If would have been perfect if we could worked on our own websites, but I don’t want to complain as he taught me a lot.  Joomla.org has got a lot of info so if I don’t come right there I’ll phone you. Regards, Lisle

Ed: We have incorporate this feedback into our courses, and now supply a Joomla! eBook to each trainee, and focus on building a website with the trainee during the course.

Hi Sean.  The training was really great. I am at last able to make sense of what is going on in Joomla.  Regards, Carol

Just to thank you for the 2 day course last week. It was most worthwhile and I sure learned a lot! After doing the End-Users and Admin courses I really feel as if I have a solid platform from which to start experimenting. Thank you also for your commitment to help with the questions that are bound to arrise from the follow-up process. Doing the course no doubt helped to jump start the learning process!

Hi Sean, Thanks for a very informative course. The info hasn't sunk in YET, I think I will only get to grips with it within the next two months...

Thanks Slingshot team! Our organisation has benefitted hugely from your guidance and diligent service, and especially from your learning-focused approach where you enable us to more on our own. You really do manifest the spirit of "open".  We had a successful conference, our post-conference website is coming along wonderfully, and we have learned so much. We look forward to working more with you into the future!!
