DescriptionThis is a note on how to create a symbolic link so that you can run Joomla! on an UBUNTU desktop using the built in LAMP server. You need to enable the LAMP server in the Synaptic Package Manager, and extract the Joomla! files and folders into the webserver root directory before you make the symbolic link between the locaiton of the site and the LAMP server's web folder.
